Firefox Tips

Some cool Firefox tips. Thanks to 'SeeJay', cybercapital.org
  • To Search for any word like "xyz" in a page type /"xyz". Use Ctrl+G to search for another instance
  • Use Shift+Delete to remove selected links from address bar. (Note: Dont click the link just highlight it in the address bar)
  • Go to the location about:cache?device=disk to view/save items that are in the firefox disk cache, use 'memory' in place of 'disk' for memory cache
  • Recover a accidentally deleted bookmark by doing Undo operation in "Bookamrks Manager" (Ctrl+Z or EDIT->Undo in Bookmarks Manager)
  • For a New Tab use 'Ctrl+T' or Double Click in the empty space of the Tab Bar. Use 'Ctrl+Tab' to navigate across various tabs
  • To open links in new window: Middle Click the link or Hold 'Ctrl' key and click the link (Images can also be opened in new tab by holding Ctrl key and clicking on the image)
  • To prevent a website from replacing/changing your rightclick context
    menu go to Tools > Options > Web Features then click the “advanced
    tab” and de-select “remove or replace context menus”. Update: go to Tools>Options>content>Advanced on Firefox2
  • To stop animated gifs from moving, press the ESC key.
